Custom Event Rule
Otonomo now provides the ability to identify meaningful events by defining Event Rules on Otonomo's platform.
First, an event rule's logic must be defined with the desired conditions to gain the ability to identify meaningful events.
- Create and define a Rule and its logic (based on the combination of Operators and Conditions) for future events creation within Otonomo's platform.
When the rule's conditions are met, an event will be generated and delivered to optimize the operational efficiency and business logic of your fleet.
Users are able to create tailor-made event rules according to their business needs, support Preventive Maintenance, Geo-fencing, and Speeding use cases, and can get notified in near-real-time.
Rule Conditions
There are two types of conditions that can be used to define the rule's logic:
- Geo Condition - Based on a Polygon inserted by the user
- Attribute Condition - Based on supported attributes on Otonomo's platform
Rule Logic configuration allows the existence of a single condition or multiple conditions as follows:
Single Attribute Condition
Generate an event if the oil level is lower than 15 (Percentage)
To Explore Otonomo attributes and units, use the Attribute Explorer
Multiple Conditions - Attribute condition & Geo condition
Generate an event if the fuel level is lower than or equal to 50 (Percentage) and the vehicle has left Paris , which triggers the exit from the geofence - the defined Polygon.
